Welcome to Woodlawn-North Purchase Cemeteries and Crematory
A Place for Reflection, Remembrance, and Rest
We are a non-denominational cemetery and crematory, proudly welcoming families of all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds. You do not need to be a resident of Attleboro—or even Massachusetts—to choose our cemeteries or crematory. Every life is unique, and every farewell deserves reverence.
Whether you are coordinating through a funeral home or visiting to locate a loved one’s grave, we are here to assist with dignity, transparency, and care.
Our Legacy of Care: Over 150 Years of Service
Woodlawn–North Purchase has served the Attleboro area for more than a century and a half.
-
Woodlawn Cemetery was established in 1865, during the post–Civil War era. It was incorporated in 1912 and served many of Attleboro’s early residents during the city’s growth as a manufacturing and jewelry center.
-
North Purchase Cemetery was established in 1921 to meet expanding community needs. With space for future generations, it has become the active side of our association.
-
In 1980, the two cemeteries merged to operate under the Woodlawn Cemetery Association.
-
In 1985, the North Purchase Crematory opened on-site, offering a trusted local cremation option.
Today, we continue to provide respectful, non-denominational burial and cremation services to families from Attleboro and beyond.
Our cemeteries are more than places of rest — they are part of local and regional history.
